Song of the Day: American Dreaming - Sierra Ferrell
Current Book: Revenge of the Tipping Point - Malcolm Gladwell
This one is gonna be short as well. Yesterday sucked to put it bluntly. It was another 4 AM wake up yesterday, so I was tired for the majority of the day. Maddie made a good point that she thinks these are due to the situation at work at the moment where there is a lot of pressure.
I woke up and wrote yesterday's post in my delirious state. I then started on my small task at work (I originally had a light workload planned today). My boss had other plans and just kept sending stuff my way:

I worked on those tasks that he assigned me (they weren't hard just tedious) and decided to call it a day after that minus a 4 PM meeting to discuss the work slated for this weekend. I went into this call with low expectations but was still disappointed. The "leads" on the program decided that the 7 PM - 7 AM request from our client on Friday for the migration was "reasonable" since we had been doing it for them in the lower environments. So yea, I guess they are expecting me to pull an all nighter this Friday.

We'll see if that actually comes to fruition but if it was up to the "leads" on my program, everyone would be working 24/7 (we are already extremely close to that). Message to the kids: never in your life do any sort of cloud/devops/site engineering unless you already have a horrible sleep schedule and want to keep that up.
That meeting really set me off for the rest of the day, and I had trouble enjoying my afternoon/evening because of it. Maddie and I went out to her parent's house to check on the dog/chickens and came home and ate dinner. I head to bed early and read a few pages of my book (which is much more interesting than my last one)

Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow!
