Yesterday was overall another fairly good day.
Maddie wanted to go to an estate sale quite early in the morning, so we left the house around 6:45 AM to get there for the 7 AM opening. When we got there, there was a line about 8-10 people deep meaning that it easily topped the list for "worst things I've stood in line for".
The following sentence (as well as every sentence written in this blog) is from the male perspective. When we walked into the house, it was just as expected: a sea of useless, overpriced junk. If you've ever seen the movie Halloweentown, you can picture it like the house where everything that is lost goes (albeit slightly more organized). If you haven't seen it, here's an image for reference:

Typically, I prefer to sell/donate/dispose of my junk, so I understand the estate sellers point of view but have trouble getting into the buyer's mind. While there, I did see an old tennis friend (Ross) which was rather funny since this is the second estate sale in a row that I have seen him at. We ended up chatting for a while and are hoping to play tennis/pickleball at some point in the future. Maddie got a couple of things from the sale (a table and a few pieces of pottery)
After the estate sale, we went to target to pick up a couple of things since we were on that side of town anyways. We made our way home. This is where the day gets fuzzy for me as I can't remember what I did from that time until lunch. But the benefit of having a really repetitive life is that I can take a guess and be 80% confident I'm right.

I'm guessing I laid on the couch and watched TV. For lunch, I went and picked up my dad to go to a local "Chinese" restaurant. We had a pleasant lunch together, and I dropped him back off before heading home for the evening. My mom called me an hour or so later as she was having issues with her phone (it was stuck in the SOS mode). I drove to her office to fix that which was fairly quick and easy. While I was there, she had mentioned that she was having issues with her password manager at work, so I took a look while I was there. She just needed to accept the permissions to get it working again. Lastly, I replaced the rear windshield wiper on her car to wrap up my usefulness for the day.
I headed home and watched some more TV while Maddie was working. I ended up reaching out to see if I could join a doubles group, but they had already filled up the fourth slot. Once Maddie was done working, we went to the store for our weekly grocery trip. It was a quick small trip. One of the doubles group members ended needing to cancel, so I filled in the fourth slot at 5:15. We had a fun match that was on/off due to the rain, and I headed home around 8. Maddie and I watched an episode of Severance before calling it night.
Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow!
