Not a bad day again. Three in a row! I wonder what all these days have in common πŸ€”?

Saturday was far lazier than the previous days. Mostly due to on/off thunderstorms and the need to catch up on the latest episodes of Severance, we stayed at the house the majority of the day. After watching three or four episodes in the morning, I got a message on Facebook for an item I had for sale. I met up with them around 11:30 for a quick $20. I made it home just in time for the rain to start which always makes me feel far less bad for sitting on the couch and watching TV.

About sums up my plans for the day

Around 3 PM, the weather had finally cleared for the day, and it was extremely nice outside. My mother joined me for a walk. In total, we walked ~3.75 miles in a little over an hour. During the walk, I could tell she had had a rough day, so when I got home, I suggested to Maddie we take her to get hot pot in Lafayette since she's been wanting to try it. My mom was very fond of the idea when I called and asked if she wanted to go. Around 5 PM (5:08 PM to be precise since my mom was eight minutes late), we started on the 1.5 hour drive to Lafayette. We made it to hot pot just in time for our reservation at 6:45. I think my mom really enjoyed it, and she even ordered a bottle of sake. Of course, we all gorged ourselves far too much.

After feeling more than satisfied with our meal, we started on the trek home. Towards the beginning of the drive, my mom asked for help with something on her phone. However, since I was driving, I wasn't able to do that, so unfortunately, that task fell to Maddie.

Maddie internally

I won't fully detail the experience here (at my mom's request), but let's just say it would have made a great episode for a show around IT support.

We finally got home around 10 PM, and immediately headed for bed.

Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow!
