Song of the Day: Sad - Bo Burnham
Current Book: Revenge of the Tipping Point - Malcolm Gladwell
Yesterday was my first day back at work after my four-day weekend. Those days are always the hardest, but overall, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. After cleaning out the mountain of unread emails and chats, I pleasantly realized that nothing had come up while I was out.

I spent a little bit of the morning working on a couple of new/old service tickets that needed responses. These were fairly simple requests, but they gave me something to do. After completing those, I did some chores around the house.
- Cooked my weekly batch of cabbage soup
- Did the dishes
- Broke down a large box we had
- Took the trash out
- Dropped off our cardboard and metal recycling
After that, it was time for standup. Standups are always super easy when I get back from extended time because I always use the exact same update:
"I was out {yesterday}, so today I'm mostly just catching up"

After standup, I left for my walk. I took an abbreviated walk since I had already been away from work quite a bit and had tennis plans that evening. In total, I walked 2.5 miles in 45 minutes.
Upon returning from my walk, I worked a couple more service tickets before calling it a day at work. I had originally planned on playing tennis with a new kid who had moved to town recently, but unfortunately, he was not feeling well. I messaged Bryan who was able to hit, so my plans were saved.
I watched some White Lotus with Maddie until it was time to leave for tennis at 6:30. It was a fun match with Bryan today, but due to him not playing as good as usual and me playing better than usual, I won fairly quickly 6-2 6-0. We played a few more points, and I headed home around 8:00. Dinner last night was bulgogi rice bowls which were quite good. We watched more White Lotus while we ate and head to bed at 10. I read some more of my book (~80% complete now) and went to sleep.
Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow!
