Song of the Day: ART IS DEAD - Bo Burnham
Current Book: Tipping Point - Malcolm Gladwell
I completely forgot to mention this a few days ago, but I have been writing these posts for a month now which is about 28 or 29 days longer than I thought I was going to (depending on what month it was). They say that if you do something consistently for 21 days then it becomes a habit, and I feel that writing these has become a habit for me. I do think they are providing a couple of benefits with allowing me to reflect on the previous day as well as jump-starting my "productivity" for the day that I write them on.
Yesterday was a good normal day. My elbow still had some residual pain from the day before but ended up getting better around noon. I spent most of the morning working on a story I had for this sprint for setting up a pull-through cache for images (aka nerd stuff). I believe I have it setup correctly and will do some more testing tomorrow. I wrapped this up right around standup. Standup was kind of a shitshow due some more "fast-track" clients that my team will be onboarding. The turn around times for this were one and two days respectively. It seems that every new client has to be fast-tracked. Fun fact, the "fast-track" priority had to be created since everyone fell into the previous highest priority (which I forget the name of), and if everyone is the highest priority, then no one is. I think that should give you some insight into my leadership on the project.

After standup, I went on my daily walk. In total, I walked 3.3 miles in 60 minutes. I got back and handled some service requests for the remainder of the day and logged off around 4 PM. I had scheduled tennis with one of my mom's client's sons for 5, so I watched some Youtube until then. I met him at the courts at 5, and his family watched us play. We had a fun match, and I look forward to them moving down here as I think he'll be a good player to add to the rotation.
I got home and ate dinner (Maddie brought BBQ leftovers), and we watched some White Lotus before heading to bed. I started on the precursor to the last book I read "Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell and am excited to read this one.
Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow!
