Song of the Day: How the World Works - Bo Burnham
Current Book: Tipping Point - Malcolm Gladwell
Yesterday was a chicken running with its head cut off kind of day (which writing that expression feels horrible).
I logged onto my computer to be greeted with an abundance of messages over the weekend from LFC (I know people have missed them). They ran into some issues and could not resolve them. The leader of LFC will escalate even the most minor of things instantly. I've also noticed that she lies regularly to ensure things happen her way. In this case, she made a big fuss about the site being down. In reality, the site never went down but the deployment was failing. I'm not diminishing that it needed to be resolved, but she has a history of exaggerating things which bothers me.

I spent the morning getting it fixed (it was a rather simple fix), but then I needed to do a deep dive on what happened. This took me pretty much the remainder of the day unfortunately. I did manage to go for my walk (3.25 miles in 55 minutes) before returning to the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) that I spent the rest of the day on.
After work, I briefly played tennis with John who had called me earlier in the day. We had a fun, intense match (just tiebreakers), and it's good to see him start coming out again. He also asked me to talk to his son about IT work as a career. I have no idea how not explain the pointless of this career, but I will try my best.
I got home and ate dinner with Maddie before logging onto work. This was the last one of the series assigned to me, and it went really smooth. I logged off after ~ an hour and watched White Lotus for the remainder of the night.
Thanks for reading!
